FOLIO Project Update – Week of June 18, 2018

The Consortia SIG discussed item and title-level requests to see what was used and how this was working for each consortia/library. Some of the highlights of this have been added to the Discuss post about this topic: https://discuss.folio.org/t/how-does-your-library-manage-requests-item-level-requests-versus-title-level-requests/1860.

An initial meeting of the subgroup to investigate the details of different consortia implementation models met on 6/22/18. The group will tackle questions related to why a consortium would choose an implementation model, what data/functions can be restricted by permissions versus restricted by tenancy, and identify single-tenant consortia requirements that align with requirements for non-consortia/individual libraries.

The Sys Ops & Mgt SIG discussed the issues of top priority: Dependency Resolution and Release Management. Two tracks were chosen as highest priority:

  1. A system architecture guide from the SysOps perspective.
  2. A set of released code that does not change.
