FOLIO Project Update – Week of July 9, 2018

The Accessibility SIG  reviewed FOLIO this week with accessibility specialist, Mike Williamson, from the CU Boulder Accessibility and Usability Lab (AUL). Desired testing requirements were discussed, a testing plan will be finalized next week. The AUL will begin testing the week of July 23rd.

This week the Metadata Management SIG discussed the gap analysis process. A demo of the implementation of the resource, format, and material type menus in Inventory was presented, and comments were made on preferred display elements and labels for Related Instances. The following subgroups are active: Batch Loading, MarcCat, Analystics/Bound-with, and Local Packages.

The Reporting SIG provided an overview of the gap analysis process for early implementers. The reporting data warehouse has been ranked a Go Live priority by all institutions. The next steps for “external” (non “in-app”) reports have been discussed, and these will be defined and tracked as tasks in JIRA.

The Sys Ops & Mgt SIG reviewed action items and the work on building stable releases is underway by the development team.

The User Management SIG discussed password management UI requirements and issues around user fields that are needed to support early adopter data migration.
