The Metadata Management SIG discussed effective locations, location codes, and location displays. They revisited the “statistical code” requirements for Instance, Holdings, and Item records that were identified in the gap analysis. The SIG also looked at wireframes for Inventory and talked about whether they need to identify a primary contributor to allow for sorting results. No consensus was reached because more information needs to be gathered first.

The Sys Ops & Mgt SIG discussed the specification and technical questions of the FOLIO NCIP Module. The module will be developed by Lehigh University. NCIP is used as the protocol for communication with the ILL agent. Only a limited set of services will be used for this purpose, and these services will have top priority. Services provided by NCIP, which will be used for communication with self-return machines, have lower priority now.
